To help you navigate the complex, and often daunting, school budget cycle, we’ve put together our School Budget Cycle Monthly Blog Series. In this series we’ll share info each month on what’s happening in schools, the stage of the budget cycle they’re in, and what you can do to achieve your goals.
With school in full swing, November is an interesting month for schools. Budgets are never far from the minds of educators and administrators who are constantly assessing needs, evaluating products and programs, and continuing to refine budgets. At the same time, the upcoming holiday season is looming.
Schools are preparing for the holiday slowdown, so they may be even more active when it comes to utilizing budgets. The key during this time for those trying to market and sell their products and programs is timing. During the first two weeks in November is the best time to get your messaging out, so be sure to capitalize on this time.
Here are some items for your to-do list:
- Plan for your outreach and follow-up to be done as early in November as possible.
- Familiarize yourself with the holiday calendars of key districts. Use this information to plan your marketing and sales campaigns.
- Begin planning your outreach campaigns for after the holidays so you can kick the new year off to a good start.
