To help you navigate the complex, and often daunting, school budget cycle, we’ve put together our School Budget Cycle Monthly Blog Series. In this series we’ll share info each month on what’s happening in schools, the stage of the budget cycle they’re in, and what you can do to achieve your goals.
If you’ve been putting off your holiday shopping, now is a good time to take a day off to get it done, as schools tend to be quieter from mid-December through early January. While there is still activity when it comes to school budgets, the time educators and administrators have to focus on it is competing with end-of-year activities and requirements.
While you can still reach out to your contacts at schools, try to do so before mid-December. And, use the time you aren’t connecting with educators and administrators to evaluate your efforts, goals, and outcomes.
Here are some items for your to-do list:
- Connect with your contacts at schools to determine when they’ll be closed for holiday breaks, and plan any outreach to them around that.
- Spend some time evaluating your marketing and sales campaigns from the fall. Make the appropriate tweaks and adjustments for your spring campaigns.
