MMS Education Announces Changes in Leadership

Philadelphia, PA (July 8, 2024) — We are excited to announce a leadership transition at MMS Education. Effective July 1, 2024, Suzanne Caimi Lynn, current President of MMS, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Susan Meell, who is retiring as CEO after 38 years of dedicated service. Karen Ellis, Chief Strategy Officer and Principal, will continue in her leadership role alongside other key members of the leadership team, Bridget LeBender, Melissa Butensky, and Maria Slabaugh, who will join Suzanne and Karen as officers of the company.

Susan Meell, who joined MMS Education as a Marketing Manager nearly four decades ago and became CEO in 2001, expressed her heartfelt thanks and pride as she retired: “It has been such a wonderful experience, and I’m filled with gratitude and deep appreciation for all the clients, employees, and different entities we have worked with over the years. This transition is a plan we started a few years ago, and now is the right time for the change. I’m very proud of the entire team, especially the leadership team, for all they have accomplished. We are now moving into the third generation of management since Ed Meell founded the company over 47 years ago. It is extremely fulfilling to know MMS Education will continue to partner with clients that want to make a positive difference by advancing learning, wellbeing, and equity in U.S. schools and communities.”

Suzanne Caimi Lynn has been an integral part of MMS Education’s leadership team since 2017, serving first as Chief Business Officer and then as President since 2019. With her extensive experience and deep commitment to our mission, Suzanne is exceptionally well-positioned to lead MMS Education into the future. She will also transition from minority to majority stockholder, marking a significant milestone in her journey with the company.

Reflecting on her new role, Suzanne shared, “What we do at MMS is deeply meaningful to me personally. I am honored and grateful to Susan for her leadership and to have the opportunity to lead MMS Education into the next chapter. I am especially excited to continue working with our outstanding team and exceptional clients to build on our impact for years to come”.

Please join us in celebrating this exciting transition and welcoming Suzanne Caimi Lynn as our new CEO. We look forward to continuing the company’s long-held mission of making a positive impact in education. For more information, please contact us at info@mmseducation.com.
